What We Do

Firefighting, paramedic care, rescue, prevention and community service in Kitimat.

Our members combine firefighting and paramedic care with rescue skills, prevention and ongoing training to serve Kitimat.

Emergency response

Emergency work can change quickly. Firefighter-paramedics respond to medical emergencies, fires, vehicle incidents and other situations where people need help.

Firefighting and rescue

Our work covers a broad range of emergency needs.

  • Structural and wildland fire suppression
  • Motor vehicle incidents and extrication
  • High-angle rope rescue
  • Confined space rescue
  • Hazardous materials response
  • Medical emergencies and pre-hospital care

Prevention and public education

Preventing an emergency matters as much as responding to one. School visits, station tours and Fire Prevention Week activities help residents understand risks and take practical steps to keep themselves and their families safe.

Training and readiness

Ongoing training brings firefighting, rescue and paramedic skills together. Hands-on practice and scenario-based learning help our members prepare for the range of calls they may face.

Giving back

Our connection with Kitimat extends beyond emergency calls. Members volunteer, take part in public events and support local causes through fundraising.
